Venue check-in disclosure
This disclosure explains what happens when a member checks in through a venue's static QR code.
Version pilot-2026-08-v1 · Effective August 14, 2026
How check-in works
- Scanning the venue's printed QR code identifies that venue and opens its branded join or check-in page.
- A new member provides and verifies signup information. A returning member is identified by email or phone and proves access through email.
- A successful check-in records the member, organization, venue, and time. The current flow does not request GPS location.
- When eligible credits exist, the member may create a short-lived QR credential and eight-character backup code for venue staff.
What check-in does not mean
Check-in does not issue credits by itself, prove that a person used a machine, or measure money placed into or paid out by a machine. A printed venue QR identifies the venue; it is not a machine integration or a statement about the legal status of equipment at that venue.
Staff location confirmation
Staff use a location-scoped session to scan or enter the member's short-lived credential. That staff action identifies the redemption venue and lets staff review eligible whole credit grants before any manual funding occurs.
